Spencer Barnett Shows Off New EP ‘Welcome To My Mind’

Spencer Barnett has been keeping it real with his music every step of the way, and now he’s officially inviting us into his innermost thoughts with his Welcome To My Mind EP!

(I can’t turn it down… literally. Turn this EP all the way up!)

Like many of today’s up and coming musical masterminds, Spencer Barnett took up an interest in music at a young age. As a teen, he’d write his own songs, and was soon introduced to Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind. He took Spencer under his wing, and the two worked together on creating new tunes and developing Spencer’s talent.

Last year, Spencer officially introduced himself to the world with his debut EP Reckless. The project was written over the course of a week, and recorded at London’s famed Abbey Road Studios. Then in January of this year, Spencer followed up with I’m Fine – a message of reassurance to not only his listeners, but himself as well.

Welcome To My Mind completes the EP trilogy, and brings together his previously released singles “Slow It Down,” “48 Hours in Paris,” “eta,” and “Welcome To My Mind.” The EP also features the tangy alt-pop banger “Current,” and the bittersweet ballad “Leather Jacket.”

“‘Welcome To My Mind’ is the culmination of everything I’ve put out over the last year,” Spencer says. “With this third and final chapter of the trilogy, I hope to contextualize the rest of the music and add some new flavor that’s unique to this EP.”
